Bali, last call
11.21.2011 - 11.30.2011
Here are a couple of parting shots of Bali:

Lucy journaling in our bathtub. According to Lucy, this is like waterboarding

Jake and dad duel it out in chess. Lightning struck. Dad won.

I have witnessess

This is a cremation ceremony down a crowded street in Bali. Sadly, this person thinks they will see you as an In-N-Out hamburger. They believe in reincarnation. While Indonesia is the largest Muslim country, Bali is 80% Hindu.

We literally ran into Don and Mimi Lamb, Katies' aunt, on a fluke in Hong Kong. They live in socal and are traveling around the world west to east and we are going the opposite direction. So we run into them in Hong Kong and of course, they happen to be in Bali for a day while we are here. We go to an oceanside lunch on Jimburyon beach and then head to Kuta to surf. Don has lost 6 cameras in their travels thus far. This time he has a reasonable shot at seeing it again as he left his latest camera in our condo. We absolutely love Don and Mimi. They are so much fun and their zest for life is evident! I am stoked to have gotten to know them a little bit and am glad that traveling half way around the world has allowed me to get to know them better.
